Marquette sponsors the Troll Hunt Exhibit at the world-renowned Morton Arboretum

In a continued commitment to the local and global community, Marquette is proud to sponsor the Troll Hunt Exhibit at the world-renowned Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois.

The exhibit features six wooden trolls constructed by Danish artist Thomas Dambo and his team. These whimsical sculptures are crafted from reclaimed wood and recycled materials. Standing between 15 and 20 feet, these massive creatures bring attention to an even bigger idea – the importance of respecting natural resources. With a little creativity and determination, everyone can find ways to reuse and recycle materials and reduce waste. Among the trolls is Marquette’s mischievous character (pictured above), who will remain on display with the full collection of troll sculptures through the summer of 2019.

Making its home in “The Arboretum Village,” Marquette’s newest apartment community Marq on Main is slated to open this summer, with first move-ins scheduled for August 2018. Just minutes from the Arboretum, Marq on Main is conveniently situated in downtown Lisle just steps from the Metra station. Offering residents the unique opportunity to live among local boutique shopping and upscale restaurants, with the chance to escape to a green oasis just minutes down the road at the 1,700+ acre Morton Arboretum. As a special gift to new residents, Marquette and the Morton Arboretum will provide discounted Arboretum memberships for residents of Marq on Main.

Marquette is dedicated to environmental stewardship, and is proud to pursue the National Green Building Standard designation for Marq on Main. This program recognizes new multi-family buildings based on the number of green practices successfully incorporated into the design and construction.
